Arterial Ultrasound

An order from your physician is required for this exam. An arterial ultrasound may be used to evaluate the blood flow in the main arteries of your legs or arms for narrowing or plaque build up in an artery.

To Prepare:

You will need to be able to transfer to the exam bed with minimal assistance. You will be required to undress for this exam. You will need to lay on your back on the exam bed. Dressings or support hose will need to be removed. No other prep required.
