Laurel Campbell Durango Ultrasound

Laurel Campbell
Sonographer & Owner

Laurel Campbell, BS, RDMS, RVT is the proud owner and sonographer of Durango Ultrasound.

Laurel has worked as a registered sonographer for 23 years; she has worked in the Durango ultrasound community for more than 15 years. Laurel received her Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from Washburn University, Associates in Radiology from Northern New Mexico Community College, and her Ultrasound Certificate from University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Laurel felt compelled to start an independent practice after hearing from numerous patients and friends that they were struggling or postponing medical ultrasounds due to cost. Many in our community have high deductible insurance, expensive co-pays, or no insurance; this prompted Laurel to believe there was a more cost-effective alternative to the high cost of health care in the Four Corners.

Durango Ultrasound is committed to benefitting the health of the Four Corners community by providing compassionate care with high standards at an affordable cost. We follow ACR guidelines.

Durango Ultrasound has partnered with Direct Radiology teleradiology group to provide quality ultrasound readings and reports. Direct Radiology Radiologists are ACR and Joint Commission accredited. All Direct Radiology reading physicians are in the United States. Durango Ultrasound reports to a supervising Colorado licensed radiologist. Patient reports are sent via email or faxed promptly. Images are available upon request. Patients will have access to their reports through their provider or reports may be mailed, faxed, emailed and are available through Durango Ultrasound's patient portal.

Our ultrasound exams are performed on a Philips iU22 for premium images, the same machine used at the area hospital.
